What do you always say you will do but never actually get around to doing?

Beating the shit out of people. But never fear. One day an opportunity will come along, combined with an indisputable motive to do it.
What do you think would make your life better?

DRUGS!!! duh. Drugs are TEH CURE for lives that suck. Including mine. Not that I've taken them. Yet.
Yep, I started Nano today, yet again, for my third (hopefully successful) year! After I got back from work this morning, I cut up my 16 pieces of paper and couldn't find a hat to put them in. I sufficed to put them in a pink supre bag that I found somewhere. I shuffled them around and drew out a recent dream of mine, which I had called "Mary Sue Saves the Day". I was satisfied. It wasn't one of the stories I thought was too obscure to do, but it also wasn't one that I was (too) emotionally involved in. Yay!
My first problem was time period and setting. It has magic, but also revolvers, and also clocks, and also university. I put it down for late 1800s, or early 1900s. Seems to work so far. Sort of...
I've done about 2500 words today, so I'm stopping for now, and posting instead.
What can I say? I've titled it "Hugemogous Prophecies Aren't Always On Time" (COPYRIGHT!). The word 'hugemogous' came from one of my students yesterday when I got them to spell "humungous". LMAO!
I'm also trying to blend litfic and fantasy. So far I have motifs of time and clocks, and a few passing comments on the society of the setting. Hopefully the lit will develop when I least expect it to. The magic system is still a bit misty, but come on! She's a Mary Sue, and pretty much has all the usual superpowers xD
Anyway, I'm trying not to think about how difficult it might get as it progresses, and for now I will go back to studying Heart of Darkness and Judith Wright poetry for my exam on Friday.

As for what I've been doing since I last posted...
Well, I got a new job as a medical receptionist, and so far it's pretty good. I can't believe I have immediate access to any patient's medical records... *teehee*.... :P
I'm re-reading The Black Company.
I'm re-watching Torchwood.
And I'm very hungry and am going to eat something now, even though dinner is in less than an hour.
OH.
And I've decided which subjects to study next year. Yep. I finally decided that it was time to let go of French. Despite getting some of the best marks of the year level, I decided that if I continued French, I would begin to hate it. It is just too much work for too little credit, and the work is not fulfilling or enriching. Anyway, I can still *be* French without slugging over grammar every week.
So my subjects next year will be:
English (either professional or fiction writing)
History - King Arthur (YAY!)
Sociology 1 and 2, and
3 Criminology subjects.
Sounds like fun! (fun = bludge). :D
If you could dream about anything tonight, what would it be?
...... this is assuming I actually sleep tonight....... who knows? There's no guarantee I'll even be in my own bed... :P
JOKING!
Hmm, what would I like to dream about? Animals. I enjoy dreams where there are cats or dogs or horses. Especially when I'm riding said horses. Then again, I wouldn't mind a dream about a certain you-know-who... he who used to haunt my dreams...
Also, can I just say, that hot guys lounging around looking hot should be arrested? It's bloody annoying. Today in Wholefoods, I was talking with Gity, but I kept getting distracted by a very attractive blonde guy sitting a few metres behind her. It didn't help that I remembered meeting him before, sometime earlier this year. AARGH. xD

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
by Robert Frost
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Yesterday, Jess alerted me to a Waterstone's competition which involved writing a story on one side of a postcard then uploading it. I thought about submitting one of my sonnets, then I wrote a new story about Jesters, then I considered using the mock blackmail letter to Mr Webster about Romeo and Juliet. All of them seemed plausible. Then Jess mentioned illustrations or photos, and I realised it would be perfect if I wrote a story about a funny photo. And here is the finished product:
Enjoy. :)
